No Princes

by Kaitlyn Gilbertson   Apr 24, 2008

Ever since I was little,
I'd dreampt of a prince.
One with romantic sense,
Who could whisper lovely sentences.

Spending sleepless nights,
Alone in my imagination.
Dreaming of a flawlessness,
Painting a new mental creation.

Living in a fantasy,
Of only me and him.
But waking only to find,
Another lonesome painful time.

If only he'd appear,
Within this twisted realm.
Take me into his arms,
So we could fly away as one.

But no pinces exist for a girl like me,
Tattered, torn, and hopeless.
No picture perfect scene,
No happily-ever-after for me.

Nicely written. You're able to convey your feelings really well here. Keep it up!
