A Burden so big on Wings so Small

by blackheartslove   May 5, 2008

Confusion
Betrayal
Hate and
Tears
Unhappiness reigns
Through all the years
Loyalty
Is just a word
Trust remains a myth
So she sits without a hope
Not a soul in the world
She can turn to
To heal her breaking heart
To soothe her aching soul
Judgment and
Misconception
Strued perceptions
Of her imperfections
She's twisted to fit
Formed to the mold
Of who they want her to be
Of what they want to see
Manipulated
Stipulated
Rules of friendship
Never broken
All she wants is to be free
But it is never meant to be
Abjectness
Wariness
Accustomedness
To their abusiveness
How can she go on like this?
Everyday's the same
She lives her life behind a mask
A smile hiding all her tears
And though they glisten in her eyes
No one says a word
But she's too sad to care anymore
That's just the horror of this world
She's just another face
Trying to play the game
Just another girl
Trying to make it through life
Depression
Aggression
Discretion hiding
Her transgressions
There's no progression
Only recession
As she lives out her days
In a darkened world
