Caged

by Lance Hardy   May 6, 2008

Surrounded
Silently crowded
All around me
Stifling the air
Consuming Space
Engulfing much
So lost within
This numbing tomb
Trapping in light
Or swallowed in dark
No surprise inside
It's all the same
Just as before
When you came last
Filled, but empty
Never something new
Who wants to go back
To their own room

I find this piece is very interesting. A different style of expressing feelings. Strongly intense poem. Liked it.
