Unlasting Love

by Kayla   May 7, 2008

She hides alone in her room,
Looks to the stars at night.
Forever wrapped in coldness,
While longing to see the light.

Never to know true love,
She cries herself to sleep.
Until the boy came along,
Making her lonely heart leap.

Can't seem to get him out of her mind,
Wishing he'll always be there to hold.
Only seeing him as the hero,
In every fairytale she's been told.

Looking at herself in the mirror,
She decides to strive for perfection.
Covering her pretty face in make-up,
She promises she'll win his affection.

She waits for him all day,
Trying to feel better with lies.
Then he steps in the doorway,
To tell her one final goodbye.

She runs away crying,
That night she lost her man.
All of her light was taken away,
No one saw her pretty face again.

An amazing write hun, very gripping.
I loved how your started the piece and ended it the same way; her being sad.
It shows life doesn't always give you happy endings.

    Beautifully done,
