One Wish

by Jodie Phillips   May 9, 2008

If I was granted just one wish
This is what I'd do,
Walk through Heavens golden gates
And Bring her home to you.

Drying up your endless tears
Time I would erase,
I'd give anything to make your dreams come true
So again, you could see her face.

There isn't a day that passes me
Where I don't think about how you must feel,
Acceptance is the hardest thing
How do you accept her death is real?

Know she's in a better place
Pain she no longer endures,
If only a miracle had come your way
Why couldn't they find a cure?

There is nothing stronger
Than a Mother's love,
It will continue to reach her
She will embrace it from above.

She's continuing to live on
Not leaving you totally that day,
Her body may have been laid to rest
But with you, her true spirit will stay.
