Stand My Ground

The world is a terrible place
there's hatred all around
people fear being alone
but I will stand my ground

Bitter thoughts consume all
who try running away
but I will still stand my ground
won't be afraid to stay

Used to use you to hide
but I will stand my ground
Alone I stay to fight
but my fear won't be found

I will stand my ground
when you leave me behind
I can't give up now when
there's happiness to find

    Nice poem !! A really great poem.
    It flowed in a really nice way, and the idea and emotions behind it are all shown through every stanza and in every word.

    this is my favorite part :

    "Used to use you to hide
