A different stone

by Rayne   May 26, 2008

He wanders through he restless woods
branches brake under sturdy feet
though legs are as unstable as the tree's in the wind
his nerves race to where his mind
and heart may finally meet
he finally opened his eyes
just a little bit wider
and he realized that the world isn't that much brighter
than a fallen night during a full moon eclipse
all sense of his once reality
slowly falls from his grips
too many questions run on a high voltage wire
a scream is all that answers
and leave his lungs filled with fire
so long he walked in sequence
to the beat of the same drum
where they settle all arguments
with a newly fired gun
how was he too seduced
by all the blood and the pain
the innocents is over
but there is still time to change
ripping of his skin
he walks under the midnight sun
walking with his head held high
he dances to a new tune
all his life
he would have never know he is human
made from a different stone
