You Remain

We watched th stars,
Exploding into the night,
We forgot about our scars,
That have made us both uptight,
We watched the moon,
Rise and then fall,
On the ground we lay strewn,
As the morning sun starts to call,
As the birds all start to wake,
We remember the angst and pain,
And I realise my mistake,
I'm alone, and in my head you remain.....
