Let The Rain Fall Down

by EmMa   May 29, 2004

Let the rain fall down
And rinse my tears
As I stand all alone
On this cold, dark pier

Let the rain fall down
And soak my skin
If only it could dissolve
The pain that lives within

Let the rain fall down
And clean my hands
Stained from this sin
I have buried in the sand

Let the rain fall down
And clear my thoughts
Memories of you
And why we fought

Let the rain fall down
I’m losing my mind
I saw you with her
I wish I were blind

Let the rain fall down
If only to turn back time
I wouldn’t allow my anger
To act such a crime

Let the rain fall down
Confessions in my head
Useless are they now
Now that you’re dead

Let the rain fall down
And drown my heart
For this guilt I have
Is tearing me apart

Let the rain fall down
And wash away
My lifeless body
That will soon decay
