Unburying the Fortune

by Sexual hysterias   Jun 2, 2008

Look through the clouded windows
You'll see passed the tainted walls
No longer will you see the color
But instead, the darkened halls

Although i paint these pretty shapes
Of a world that seldomly impends
You see the bright made colors
and the happiness that it portends

Go beyond your little box
Of that always true best friend
To see the world around you
That is where, you must transcend

The flowers and the trees
They look flawless to you and me
But when you dig up all the dirt
Observe the things you see

The brown dirty weeds
The dry fragile grass
They speak so weakly
Of a once beautiful past

Dont grab onto the dirt
Or sediment underneath
It's not worth a bit of time
'nor is anything beneath

You see i know these secrets
Because a past of things you see
Are covered oh so deeply
And to you, a mystery

But if you look into my eyes
Very soon, you will see
The fragile grass and weeds
They are my heart
They are my soul
But really, they are me.
