We fought so hard [to fall apart.]

by Gizmo   Jun 3, 2008

We fought so hard.
tooth, nail and skin reside within eachother,
showing were we clung on; refusing to give in,
refusing to let go of what we had.

blood poured from our mouths,
from biting our tongues, giving no one the satisfaction.
it spurted from our ears, deafening us,
from those who already got the satisfaction from hurting us.

we still clung to eachother, shreded maybe? but we were stone.

we fought so hard,
that it tore us to pieces; refusing to give up on our relationship,
we destroyed it ourselves.
we should have known, i should have known,
we fought so hard,
a little to hard
and a little to often.
that someday; a day that came to soon,
we give in to their satisfaction,
and walked away with blood and tears,
soaking us.

just leaving dead black pieces of our hearts,
in a mangled warzone,
thats were we once held so tight that we thought
no one could break us.

a dedication to my relationship, which i wrote at a rocky time. but we've pulling through
