Where Did I Go wrong?

by Michael D Nalley   Jun 7, 2008

Where did I fail, oh where did I go wrong?
Since I set sail the voyage seems so long
Enduring many storms, my vessel is worn
I must mend my sails, yes they have been torn

I thirst for pure water even though I am wet
It is a wonder my soul has not sunk yet
I have ignored my compass, straying off course
My heart is filled with sadness and much remorse

I was in despair dangling at the end of my rope
Then I see a lighthouse thank God there is hope
Yet I look back to the haunting darkness with much sorrow
I must avoid the same mistakes for the trip tomorrow

Wow, I could feel every emotion that was in that poem! I thought it was magnificent. Really. Everything about it was so beautiful and unique in your own style. I'm sure that alot of people can relate to it and the struggles that you've described. Great job! 5/5
