My un-love story

I gave so much and got none back, The lingering hope was what kept me on track. I said it wasn't your fault, and i was perfectly fine, i claimed nothing could break this heart of mine. You believed every word, no lies you heard, and I Just healed in silence.

Truth be told your heart is cold, and my heart cannot take this violence. you've bruised and tore it, once or twice, but i held on to ignorance, my healing vice. I would never take my pain out on you, you caused it after all, what more can you do?

I know you regret, and that should be enough,you cause sorrow, then repent, thats seems balanced and such. I told you i loved you, and I got no replies. You stood by to watch the tears fall from my eyes.

It's been a while now, but I'm starting to see how to pick up the pieces slowly but surely. Wounds are healing, pain receding, there's no harm in letting go no scratches, no bleeding.

I'm pleased to say I've done my part in mending my own shattered heart, my words you say are still in your mind, the guilt is too much for you to leave behind..

I told you, don't worry, you've made me strong, I realized we truly just don't belong. My eyes still do water, the tears tend to fall, I told you I loved you,and expected nothing at all.........
