Do You Breathe Me?

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Jun 8, 2008

I feel we're getting distant;
becoming apart.
Tell me why you're resistant.
Why must we depart?

We used to be so happy.
Everything was all right.
Now every thing's crappy.
Our love do you contrite?

We once were so adhered.
We once were each other's air.
Now all that disappeared
as if it was never there.

You'd think without oxygen you'd
collapse and die.
Apparently not, I conclude.
We've gone awry.

Am I a toxic gas?
Impossible to love?
Don't mean to be an ass,
but I must know thereof.

You breathed me back then,
do you breathe me still?
Should we try again?
Or's that overkill?

Just spit it out.
Do you breathe me or not?
I'm sensing doubt.
Have you left me to rot?
