Only if...

by Bare My Paradox   Jun 9, 2008

If sometimes you can forget what you want
and focus on only what you give
if sometimes you can clear the past
and remember why you still live

if sometimes you can ignore the sorrow
and conceive happiness once again
if sometimes you can keep your faith
and learn how to deal with pain

if sometimes you can keep your pride
even if you're broken inside
if sometimes you can learn to smile
through graveyards of tragic lives
If sometimes you can learn to laugh
when everybody else cries

If sometimes you can console yourself
when no one wants to care
If sometimes you can survive the cold
with no warmth anywhere

If sometimes you can keep your modesty
throughout expensive addictive royalty
If sometimes you can learn to pity
and try to be generous to charity

If sometimes you can hold on to your dreams
maybe one day they might come true
If sometimes you remember the Lord
the Lord will remember you

It's sometimes people live life the right way
It's sometimes people do what they say
Anything can happen any day
If sometimes your hope just stays

What if? what if poetry did not exsist?
What if we had no soul?
Would we still do the stuff that we do, or keep on our lives like we know nothing.
Great poem, you my friend have talent.
