Start of Something New

by reJoyce   Jun 11, 2008

There's death in your life
And peace in your haste
You break to hold on
To a slow in time's pace

With the soul of a man
And the heart of child
You pray that your heaven
Will return for a while

That conscious rest
With the girl you love
As you look to the sky
And the stars above

Hold on to forever
And live in it now
Patient love will grow better
It will find you somehow

An enjoyable read, and a truism told. The first two rhymes are off a bit (but that is me). I feel the rhythm is off in the last stanza but could be helped by dropping "Patient"( I think "patience" ?)
    As always an opinion.

I liked this. It was very beautiful. Again, the rhyming was great. It seems like that's what your poems mostly are. Which is good, because your poems flow sooo easy. :) 5/5

This poem has a profound begining and a seemingly romantic ending or begining which ever way the reader prefers.
It reflects a cycle of beautiful life and death
merging into dimentions of the bliss of rebirth
    well done
