Tranquility

by David ODonnell   Jun 16, 2008

One more cut and then I'll stop
But now the blood begins to drop
And mark the ground where I should be
Far from pain, so calm and free

A slit is made through choice and fear
The fear to live is so severe
A tear comes easy and so does blood
One cut is needed to start the flood

Laying empty and still confused
A broken body torn and bruised
Left unknown to those that care
A note in your hand 'it wasnt fair'

Now they show the side that lies
At your funeral filled with cries
Filled their mind with thoughts of death
And of you through your last breath

So when that cut begins to bleed
Through all your attempts you now suceed
The pain has gone and left you tranquil
Now its over and you are thankfull
