Like Toy Soldiers

Step by step we walk the path
Step by step we make the path
Step by step we charge the enemy
Step by step we take their land
Step by step we get pushed back
Step by step we fall to the ground
Step by step everything fades away
Step by step we come closer to being toys
Not just ordinary Toys...Toy soldiers
The call is made,
The tears are shed,
The anger is strong,
Revenge is felt,
Revenge consumes,
The war is no longer a war,
The war becomes slaughter,
Children cry every day,
Mommy, mommy is daddy okey,
More tears are shed,
He drops the toy..like a toy soldier
He sees the truth,
His rage is strong his anger ignited,
Many years later it starts again,
Step by step
Step by step we walk the path
Step by step we make the path
Step by step we charge the enemy
Step by step we take their land
Step by step we get pushed back
Step by step we fall to the ground
Step by step we come closer to being toys
Not just ordinary Toys... toy soldiers
The enemy is there but yet hes not
The enemy is here but yet hes not
The enemy is everywhere but yet hes not
They liter the ground with blood and sorrow
One remains dying the death
He wheres a different uniform is he any different
His last breaths are of great sorrow
The enemy of his father speaks,
I tried to avenge you father,
I tried to destroy your enemy,
I tried to make you proud,
But revenge consumed me as I lie here now,
I tried to avenge you but I hope I made you proud.
The man today sits next to the soldier,
He remembers why he joined the slaughter,
To avenge his father,
But then he looks at him self,
I am a monster my anger consumed me,
This is not how thy father remembered me,
This is not who I am,
The helmet is off and the gun is laid down,
The uniform is unbuttoned and the shovel goes into the ground,
The body is buried and laid to rest,
I learned my lesson and learned it well,
Never let anger and rage consume you,
Anger and rage leads to more anger and rage,
The war of revenge will destroy us all
Let it stop here and walk away before it is too late
And we all end up like toy soldiers.
