These Streets

by Timothy S   Jun 24, 2008

I roam these streets who someday will forget my name
Treading through it 'til each shoe was worn thin
Trying, and trying, to maybe leave an impression
Season after season, in the sun, in the storms
Keeping to what's familiar, something to grow old with
Not to stray too far away from home, only in fear
But I should've known then home is in me, where I hold it
My memories still stay with me from those times
The ups and downs, the times that will remain golden
Just lived each day to the fullest in this town of the hopeless
