A little sip of suicide ((I'd rather have champagne))

by StandStill   Jul 8, 2008

So do you feel it in your veins,
this sweet poison streaming through?
Suicide sleeps in your eyes,
dreamin' of happily ever after comin' true.

Run just a little faster,
from these demons of your dark.
Spin a little safer,
and kiss the candle's spark.

'Cuz you know, it's what you wanna do,
You're too tired of pulling through.

I got out too long ago,
and now I'm sipping lemonade.
Suicide's your sweetest drink,
but babe, I prefer champagne.

Don't forget to close your eyes
when the lights are shining bright.
Wake up in the morning
so you can dream your life goodnight.

Oh, you know you want to try,
you know you'd rather die.

Feet are slapping concrete,
and blood pumps through your veins.
Just cuz your living life like this,
doesn't mean you're quite insane.

The world is closing in now,
every alley seems to hush.
Just run a little faster,
'cuz suicide's your rush.

Ya, you know you wanna quit,
you're just so tired of pulling through it.

"I know you're sleeping all alone
You feel suicide
Now you're dying to get out
But its in you deep inside
Do you feel it in your veins
The poison rushing through?
But can't you see it in your heart
I'm still there for you?"

Wow, Gabby. This was breath taking and heart wrenching all at the same time. I don't have time comment this with detail, but the title caught my attention and I just -had- to read it. I don't know how you come up with these titles that just seem to draw me in.

    -----> Suicide's your sweetest drink,
    but babe, I prefer champagne.
`` That line is definitely going to be stuck in my head for a while. Amazing.

-----> Ya, you know you wanna do it,
you're just so tired of pulling through it.
`` Do you realize you rhymed it with it? Lmao. It's okay, it didn't ruin the flow or anything, it was just a little funny. x]

    Keep writing!
