The Special Storybook

The night has come it's time for bed
I've brought my special storybook
Let's visit fairytales tonight instead
Of that old barn by the brook.

For starters we'll follow sweet Snow White
And her seven dwarves of little height.
You see now, she's in a flight
Away from the wicked queen's usual spite.

Next comes Cinderella sweeping the house
Singing songs to the usual mouse.
Wishing to meet the Prince at the ball
And fairy godmother hearing her desperate call.

Oh, there goes Ariel swimming about
Watching large boats on their route
Catching Prince Eric tossing in the sea
Saving him and setting him free.

Sleeping Beauty is sleeping again
Her birthright curse has finally began
Where's prince Phillip to free her slumber
And to fight the witch's advancing numbers?

My dear child, you're sweating in bed
Perhaps I've given you too much dread.
Your mother won't be happy about this
Let us go right to the blissful kiss.

Snow White has finally bitten the apple
The Queen has delivered it's final blow.
Yet here comes the mighty prince
And from her slumber a powerful kiss.

Don't close your eyes, Cinderella is free
Her fallen shoe has become the key
And no longer a slave, but a queen she'll be
While her evil family bows in threes.

Ariel has battled Ursula and has won
The final glorious kiss is done
Never to live in the sea again
Only with her Prince Eric in a new domain

Sleeping Beauty has opened her eyes
Her mouth softly smiles at her surprise
Clutching the prince the story begins to close
The wicked curse has been desposed.

What about Beauty and the Beast?
The child asks with a sigh released.
The book closes as the sound of sleep
Rose from a child who's fallen asleep.

You started so well and then your rhymes went off into another place(stanzas 5,7,8,10)
Watch you metre/rhythm as some lines are very wordy and the beat is lost. ie:
"Next comes Cinderella sweeping the house
Singing songs to the usual mouse.
Wishing to meet the Prince at the ball,
    Fairy godmother hearing her call."
    as always an opinion
