Useless Hope

You are telling to speak words I will never dare to speak,

And feel something great I know I'll never be able to feel.
You are asking me to forget a pain that will never go away,
And smile as I face another day.

You are trying to show me a love I will never be able to see,
And give away something that belongs to only me.
You are telling me to feel feelings I haven't felt in years,
And swallow my pride and face my fears.

You are telling me to do things I could never do,
Drop all my feelings and surrender to you.
But are asking me to give you a sacrifice I could never give,
And live life without pain I know I will never live.
