Ignorance

** Trying to fight off writers block still and this is what I came up with, not very good but yeah. **

He drinks and he drives,
Never caring about anyone else's lives.
His parents don't seem to care,
Nor do his friends.
Ignorance I say.

Needles and drugs is what she wants.
The numb to the pain is what she craves.
Dealers don't care, they just want their pay.
The cops see past her, as her beauty goes astray.
Ignorance I repeat!

Old and frail, they fall on the floor.
The young walk passed,
And think someone else will help.
More and more leave,
As this old man bleeds.
Ignorant young souls,
He says with his final heart beat.

An Ignorant world is where we live,
Living ignorant lives,
And giving birth to ignorant souls.
When can the ignorance stop?
Because I will not ignore the fact that ignorance is here.
I will change,
I'll make it in my own way.

    This poem was definatly a wonderful write. You explained this person as being ignorant, and I would have to agree with you. One thing I didn't like was before you even began your poem you told us what you thought of your poem. Don't do that. Let the readers read your poem and then come up with how they feel about it. I've been told that because I used to do that, and you really shouldn't say that..because you are kind of making the readers think that the poem is terrible, when it really isn't. I don't know. I've been told that, and would just pass that on to you. :] Anyways, this poem was wonderful overall. It definatly described the person well that did the dumbest things, and I guess ignorance made him do the things he did. Drugs, drinking, etc. ect. The things that make a person ignorant. You definatly got the point you wanted to get across here, very clearly.. by repeating.. that he was ignorant. Very very true. :] All people that drink and drive, do drugs, etc. ect. are very ignorant in my honest opinion as well. I liked this poem, it brought a great message across. 5/5.
