Happiness Is A Lie

by Roxy   Jul 17, 2008

Last night he lay there in silence pretending he was asleep.
While his mother was downstairs, he listened to her weep.
He thought about everyone and everything he had done.
Thinking if it's worth living if this is what he had become.

He made it through another day, smiling through his tears.
All he has ever done is lived his life through endless fears.
He walks through the front door and that smile fades away.
His dream is to never wake up and have to see another day.

He feels like screaming aloud but he doesn't own a voice,
Trapped within darkness as though he has no more choice.
His heart is sinking and cant help but slowly start to drown.
And yet all of you have the courage to tell him not to frown.
