Fairytale Story

Once upon a time
There was this pretty young lass
Who dreamed of being a princess
Except she belonged to the lower class

So she decided to give herself a new identity
One that let her escape from reality

She pretended she was rich
Instead of a peasant
Her mind erased her past
And everything became pleasant

But then came this witch
Who unraveled her secret
And she made sure the princess
Felt shame and regret

She took everything she had
Her castle, her prince - her life,
She made her miserable
And left her in strife

So she decided to go back to her farm
A place which caused no harm
Then she slipped on some slime
And made this rhyme
Then again she fell
And finally woke from her spell

*lol my friend told me to tell her a story and this is what I came up with - a 5 minute poem :)
