Losing

by Ixora   Jul 26, 2008

Our bodies remain still, motionless, cold and smooth to the touch
Still anchored to these remnant shells
that always seemed to mean so much
To cut the wries in-between,
severed ley lines set us free
Secure within the mind's mirage,
when will we wake up from this dream?

Obscured behind these opaque blinders, noting nothing to the sides
The scapegoat's path of stale reminders still embedded in our minds
Pushing harder, faster, further all while trying to escape
We seem to always find and then deny the chances we've obtained

cold hands, this epidemic spreading
To lose it all now you might know it's always easier when done alone
