A smile, this smile
so pleasing to the eyes
though nothing is ever felt
inside.

anger, such anger
hot tears roll down my face.
but still, a smile-- this smile
puts anger back in place

i'm afraid, so afraid
my hands start to shake
but still, a smile-- this smile
is far from its break.

i'd give anything, anything
to be able to hit rewind
to have my old self back
and leave this empty shell behind

and its hard, so hard
to push these thoughts away
every single thought of you keeps-
driving me insane

and yet, a smile-- this smile
i wont ever break
because it's the only thing i have,
even if it's fake.
