Summer's Comin

by *:.~Lauren~.:*   Jun 3, 2004

The sun is rising for longer these days,
The days are whipping by leaving you in a haze,
This is the year when it’s everything or nothing at all,
The summer is coming too fast and you can’t wait until the fall,
Slow down the clocks and take a breath in,
Remember all the memories and how the friendships begin,
Take a ride down memory lane,
Think of the days when we skipped in the rain,
The people want to cry for you,
But they just don’t know how to,
They want to hug and kiss you,
Want to tell you they love you and they’ll miss you,
The summer sun rises in the morning,
Fights could occur without warning,
Take a look around because we’re the last ones you will see,
See how much you impacted him and how much you mean to me,
Realize that this isn’t for the best,
We don’t want it but it’s just a test,
Someday you will look back and laugh at our tears,
Even if it takes months or years,
I wish I didn’t get close to you,
Because I don’t want to believe it’s true,
I don’t want to say goodbye,
I know I won’t be the only one to cry,
You made such an impact on everyone’s life,
One day you will make a perfect wife,
Send a postcard from your hometown,
Tell us how it is and try not to frown,
Let’s make the best with what we’re given,
It feels like we’re dying but we’re only livin.
