Waiting

by Honey Kisses 18   Aug 8, 2008

Black rivers running down my face
eyes blood-shot, yet underintoxicated
my fingers itching for a shot of whiskey
to help drown away all the misery

You told me you loved me
that i was your heart and soul
i believed you even though i shouldn't've
i let my guard down and now i'm broken

My heart is torn due to the fact of your lies
forever you said, yet we didn't make it that long
only until you had enough and my love didn't pull us through
but time will pass and i will forget your face

Because my time on you was misplaced
You mind-mucked me into believeing you cared
into believing you actually knew how to love
guess what i know your game now, and i can play too

Watch out dearest, b/c in time , my heart might forgive
but my mind will never forget the pain and grief
i'll have my revenge on you one day
but for now, I'll pick up the pieces of my life
And wait for the sun to shine through those stormy clouds once again.
