They tear me down until there is nothing left
Rip everything out, but leave regret
Forever crippled, I cover my shame
Put on a mask and create a new name

Nobody knows that I'm empty inside
Play it cool, but have no pride
Rather than tell them my disgrace
I put up a smile and get a new face

Fill the void, cover the hole
Hide the fact, I have no soul
It's hard to fake what should be there
I will never fit in, but I can't seem to care
