"The moon shines beautifully
The cool, clear water swirls all around me
And the stars are pinpricks of my happiness"

The wording here is outstanding and you really took my breath away. I love how you say, "pinpricks of my happiness"

"But to me the moon is cold and empty
The water is black and hauntingly still
And the stars penetrate deep into my soul"

A beautiful write that was very heartfelt, and you definetly created a sad piece here. Keep writing, always and forever...
