The Course...

When i wake up and i open my eyes,

I open my eyes and look at the sunrise,

I tell myself that it's a brand new day,

Then i climb out of bed and I'm on my way,

On my way to a fresh new start,

In the race of life that begins in the heart,

I run this race with the greatest endurance,

Against the anxieties of life's course and currents,

And when these anxieties eat me inside,

I turn to God's word the bible as my guide,

For his word exerts power,

And is more powerful than any weapon that man can muster, It can pierce into the very soul,

And can patch up any hole,

God's word is a lamp to my foot and a light to my roadway,

I try to run the course that God has set for me everyday...
