What Did You Do With Your Life

by Robert Daniel Long   Aug 19, 2008

You're given life
To embrace..........And to share
To love one another
Without any stipulation
Unbound and carefree

But did you

Did you stop to think
What happens..........To those you pass
Or to those you ignore

What did you do with your life

Was it to help others
You know..........Help them along the way
Their needs may be simple...........to us
But to them they're great

Some times a simple smile
Or
Word of encouragement
May be the key
To mend a heart
And one day that heart
May be yours

What did you do with your life

Did you seek...........or find a way
To make a difference
Or change a situation..........for someone
Were you kind
Or loving
Did you take time out for a child

Or show them the way............That they should go

Did you learn to play
Or listen to life in any way
Or did you sit on the sidelines
Hoping someone .................would do it for you

Will you not join in

What did you do with your life

Did you promote strife
Or offer peace
Or the harmony there of
Did you offer a solution to problems

Or become one

Life is measured
By the heart of a man
GOD sees the essence of us
In that fashion
Can we as people strive
To overcome iniquity
Pride
Indifference
Hate

If we could do these things
We wouldn't have to ask

The question
What did you do with your life

WOW, Very inspirational. I feel like I should be giving more to other people now. LOL You have hit the nail on the head. We should all take the time to stop and help some one in need. Pay it forward so to speak. Great job.
