Better Off Dead

by Whip   Aug 25, 2008

You think I choose to be this way
And in my mind you're right again
Some things are better left undone
Some things undone are better left alone.

The further I fall, the more I grow
The closer I get, the further you go
Away from where I need you to be.

Let's forget about right, let's do it all wrong
Can't get too much worse, than this love song.
You forget about me, I'll forget what you said
We'll meet in the end with what's better off dead.

Maybe I'll make mistakes, but at least they're chances I chose to make
Your safe in your box of comfortability
I dare you to step outside, come play with me.

Pretty little pictures on your wall
Plenty of so-called friends that always seem to call
Surrounded by beauty and never-ending dreams
Your world silenced from all the screams.

I hear in my head, the sounds she makes in our bed
The wounds I bare are so deep with only words that cut me.

One last thing before you shut this off and go to sleep,
memories are everlasting...So enjoy your sleep.
