Silver Platter

by T uh Belle lll   Sep 1, 2008

The bright silver platter lays in front of your expecting eyes
You devour it within seconds without even a hint of appreciation.

Grueling self sacrifice
Hours of suffering
Amounts to nothing.

You chose the darkness over the light
Leaving my heart in shambles.

The question isn't what did I do to deserve this
Rather, it's what didn't I do?
