Boy of Darkness

I am looking at his picture
and it brings me to tears
I wish that I could help him
Or take away his fears

I can tell he is depressed
By the way he looks at me
His cute smile is long gone
I can't believe what I see

This boy was once happy
you can tell he used to care
But something went and changed that
Because he is no longer there

Years ago he was heartbroken
By some one he knew well
She took his innocence and life
She brought to him this hell

After that one painful night
He never was the same
Now he is cold and heartless
And now his lifes a game

His picture explains it all
Just take one look into his eyes
hes tried so hard and still he fails
but he no longer cries

His scars are a reminder
Of his miserable life
but now that boy with darkness changed
as he stares deeply at the knife

He knows just how to end it
And be rid of all this shit
now theres nothing to hold him back
it'll only take just one last hit

Now whatever happens
he really couldnt care
if only he could smile once more
with a happiness thats now so rare

His heart belongs to darkness
his body numb to the pain
this boy has been through enough in life
to drive a man insane

If only he could see
Past all the hurt and lies
if only he'd care one last time
and give life one last try

Why is it that the world
hurts the one who tries the most
because of this his soul is gone
his bodies just a host

He's had enough of the crying
he refuses to shed another tear
he wants to disappear from the world
and that is what i fear
