Broken Promise

by The Angel of Secrets   Sep 15, 2008

They told me you cared, you were always right,
And if I stayed, you'd always help me fight.
They told me of all the wisdom you had shared,
Because you were the only one who truly cared.

You are the master of a blind world,
Why even bother about a broken little girl?
Why even bother if I believe or not?
Remember me, the angel you forgot?

You never said life would be this cruel,
In believing in you, I guess I was a fool.
I guess angels like me are doomed to fall,
And you never even bothered to love us at all.

I was brought up in a world that can not see,
But why did you never come look for me?
Now I won't pray, I won't worship, I won't sing.
You broke your promise, so you're not my king.
