You Don't Need Her

by Forever Broken   Sep 16, 2008

You sit around and mope all day
Life aint fun if you live that way
I know youre sad, I know you're down
I know the reason behind your frown

She hurt you bad and tore your heart
I tried to warn you from the start
Now you watch yourself as you bleed
because you think that she is a need

You dont need her, youre better then that
And I know that to be a fact
Youre a great guy, you'll find love
but not if shes all you ever think of

Open up to me, dont lockup your soul
remember I was the one to pull you out of your hole
I helped you out when no one else would
and you became happier then we thought you could

you didnt have her then, you had friends by your side
back then you didnt have any feelings to hide
We took you in, like family
we love you boy cant you see?

So please dont let her ruin you
thats the last thing we want to see you do
Smile through the pain, I know you can do it
just know you're not alone, we'll all help you through it

WOW! This is such a fabulous poem. Indeed in each of our lives we have atleast once walked along the same path where we but bear witness to another persons grief.
But I think this is so well worded. Really amazing piece of work - written with such sincerity and deep beneath there is some hope that no matter what happens, the person who befriends you is the luckiest person ever. 5/5 from me.
