Desires of Another

by The Angel of Secrets   Sep 18, 2008

Different worlds and different places,
Smiling versus crying faces.
Uncaring moments and stupid words,
Fishes versus flying birds.

Telling stories about something you knew I hated,
About the girls in my class you could have dated.
Rating their bodies and their appearance alone,
I guess me and myself are better off alone.

Comparing me to another girl,
I felt the pressure of your world.
Telling me they are a gem,
Actually asking me to be like them.

I told you I needed some wanted space,
And nothing flew across your face.
No love, no pain, nothing at all,
I felt so unworthy, and so small.

I guess I was wrong when I thought you cared,
You hid your lack of feelings behind saying you were scared.
If you really cared, you'd at least try and be my friend,
And you'd fight for me when I said this was the end.

You used me then you threw me away,
And you didn't miss me yesterday.
You never really listened did you?
Cause you never cared what I was going through.

Why did you think you didn't have to fight?
I guess you can't break a broken heart right?
You just wanted someone I can't be,
Let's face it; You never wanted me.
