Mounted on the Wall

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Sep 22, 2008

Take my body to mount on the wall.
You already killed me, so take pride.
Just know I'll stare at you in the hall
reminding you of how I died.

Lie me a rainbow of love and dreams
while truthful storm clouds loom.
Take me from what everything seems
and show me a pit of hidden doom.

Pull the carpet beneath my feet.
Betrayal has a new meaning now.
I tried not to ruin it by being discrete.
The thought of death I began to allow.

So take your tools and leave me be,
let me watch you from up here.
Though I'm dead I will always see
your glimmering eyes of fear.
