Looking Within

by Andy   Sep 28, 2008

Standing in front of you
Seeing you in so much pain
The guilt, the hurt, the sorrow
So much effort, and yet so little gain.
The many years of unhappiness
Has slowly worn away your grin
The expressionless look on your face
Should almost be a sin
These times of depression
Are getting harder and harder to bare.
I'm asking you all these questions
And all you do it stare
I look into your eyes
To see your true complexion
I suddenly start to realize
I'm staring at my own reflection.

Wow, very powerful ending and your words created such a sad scene in my mind. Nice job though, your descriptions were great and made me feel what you were feeling. Take care, 5/5 from me. Keep writing, always and forever...
