Strength of a Beating Heart (part 2)

The fire gives me warmth and winter's cold will not touch me.

I'm looking forward with my eyes closed and I will walk carefully but not feel around.

I trust the light even when enclosed in darkness.

Time will pass and so I will continue on.

Don't let this serene acceptance be confused for neglect.

I will stay with you and always be here when you need me.

I still believe in miracles.

    by a broken smile with a broken heart is a poets life

    I know it's just a few words, but HUGE impact. didn't rhyme at all but that's what made the poem have a bigger impact.. each line has so much emotion and alot of hope!

    Sometimes that's all we need to make it through another day.. keep up the beautiful writting and emotion you use in your poems!
