All you adults

I thought that all you adults care
i believed that you would all be there
when we go through abuse at home
we want to know we are not alone
but instead of giving us your hand
you don't even try to understand
you all pretend you cant hear us cry
you pretend you don't know the reasons why
you stand in front of us not beside
and if we get too close you all hide
what if all we want is your ear?
if all we need is someone to hear
we grow up without care and love
looking up to the adults who stand above
but if we told you all the truth
about he monsters who are stealing our youth
we know that you will block it out
no matter how loud we scream and shout
so all you adults who say you'll be there
we all know that you don't really care!

    I totally agree, and understand what your saying. Adults need to open their eyes to what is going on. The poem was well written, and flowed well, it tells a sad, but true story. I will say though, that it started strong, and it followed through the rest of the poem strong, until the last line, it was good, i just don't think it ended quite as well as the rest of the poem. But i loved it. Keep it up. 5/5 x

    The rhyme scheme did not take away the power and emotion of the poem at all. I thought the poem was peiced together very well. The thought behind it although saddening can be very true at times, but thankfully it all gets better. I really enjoyed reading this poem, one of my favorites by far. 5/5

    Aww I'm so sorry if u going through this.
    Painful poem. It got me thinking that moments like thouse adults act themselves like kids and the children who are suffering have to deal with it like adults, it's just awful! Powerful emotions.

    Heart-touching story! Noone should be abused, but it's sad that sociaty has turn to this.
