The Rage

by Forever Broken   Nov 3, 2008

Anger raging inside his heart
It beats with a force that could kill
Sweat streaming down his face
Blind rage replacing will

Blood pulses through his body
Carrying hate he does not need
Its hard enough to withstand his rage
without hate from which to feed

But the anger consumes it like always
And it feeds the rage within
With darkness taking over
His night is filled with sin

A sickness overcomes him
As he becomes all too aware
That his will has been defeated
A monster has replaced him there

The world turns red at his fingertips
His eyes blacken to the core
yet somewhere deep inside
there is a wish to be more

To be more then destruction
more than one who causes pain
he cries when the rage leaves him
thinking his tears are all in vain

Until one day a light shines down
hope surfaces in his eyes
an angel clears the darkness
answering his cries
