Vengeances Name

by The Angel of Secrets   Nov 7, 2008

Revenge, do you have a name?
Playing the main role in my vengeful game.
Applauding ceases as they see your face,
With everything twisted and put out of place.

Hatred, hatred, what is your key?
Are you really all that's left of me?
On this stage we act, on this floor we sing,
Consuming detest, are you my king?

Suppressed wrath, why so shy?
This is merely a passing goodbye.
The blood red curtains will always fall,
And in the darkness, we bow and stall.

Romance, love, where did you go?
This perfect stranger I don't even know.
Candlelit star-skies and footsteps in the grass,
A crooked view of walking on shattered glass.

Vengeance, do you have a name?
It doesn't matter, the act is still the same.
Forget the past, and let the future be,
There's no one left now, just you and me.
