Sir Death

by Maddy   Nov 13, 2008

*Rhyme not intended

Death comes in the form of a ghost
Hovering wisps of black silk
Stealing away the lives of the innocent
Sending their souls up to the sky

No longer are they with us
Gone in the blink of an eye
Leaving behind a dark black hole
Where they once filled our lives

Death, he knows no character
Only craves loss and grief
Not caring of the loved ones he affects
Who are left jagged and broken

To you, my friend
Even words cannot describe my ache for you,
I don't understand how even Death could be so cruel
As to rip away you last shred of hope

I'll pray for you, for her.
Until the pendulum finally stops.
But until then, know you can weep on me
I'll be here even when demons are all you can see.

*To a beloved friend.

This is a truely fantastic write, i agree with Karan, the emotions in the poem are incredibly intense.. you described death..so truthfully and brutally.. it was very good. It did make me sad to read it.. but it was a great write, so im glad that i did.
