Draw Your Suns With Smiley Faces

by BlueEyedMystery   Nov 19, 2008

Another one just walks away,
her smile, you could never trust.
Looking back on all your friends,
a picture painted with disgust.

Purple suns all turn to gold,
safe, familiar, perfect things.
Draw your hearts with cracks,
never soaring high with wings.

How could they just leave you,
on the floor with broken glass.
Maybe it's pieces of your heart,
scattered across the blue grass.

This poem is confusing, darling,
but I wrote it for your own good.
Try to find it's hidden meaning,
or maybe I'm the one that should.

Words are flying out of my lips.
I have to write them down.
It's just another poem, dear.
One that I should drown.

He left me here not caring.
I know you know the one,
But I wont take this bullet,
or pull the trigger on this gun.

Walk with pride.
Smile that gorgeous smile.
Hold your head up, sweetie,
and run that mile.

It's hard to see the sunrise,
when clouds are in the way.
But the wind blows faster,
and the clouds float away.
