My Dismal Aspiration (Rhyming Acrostic)

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Dec 3, 2008

Melancholy pondering thoughts of my mistrust.
Your the one who will die, though a death unjust.

Darkening corridors forever growing smaller.
Inch by inch atop itself expanding even taller.
Simulating endings, leaving none to live.
Manipulating children, for their life to give.
Alluring thoughts of happiness; feet under ground.
Leaving corpses in the dirt, enveloped in a mound.

Alternating moods beyond what minds conceive.
Socializing constantly, getting others to believe.
Penalizing anti-deaths, for slowing the rest down.
Initiating a tribal hatred, upon the rest we frown.
Radiating sadness, but a belief of better days.
Although our pacts are against their moral ways.
Tattle tales amongst us, they say we need help.
I say let us end our days, allowing them to yelp.
Onward with our priorities, they are not a loss.
Never mind heaven or hell, for I don't hold a cross.

This poem is about a pact made between suicidals to die for a better "life". I also wrote about in the beginning a bit how some of these people can take perfectly innocent and happy people and turn them against life and the will to live. The ending lines, the speaker was the leader of the suicide pact group. I hope you liked it! XD

This poem is totally remarkable...fading in with a description of innocent people then slowly showing how these people are being brain washed and ends with the protaginist's order. You must have put a lot of thoughts to pull off a poem like this. I just read one of your other dark poems earlier and it kindda seems to me that dark poems seems to be your forte

    Great job

Jen this is very good. I agree with TJ, it was amazing. The fact that it is about sucide makes me kinda sad, but it gives me insight on the topic.
    Very nice job.
