Failing Knight

by Sarah Ann   Dec 26, 2008

Let me fall beyond your wrath
I don't want to look back
For the sunny days were gray
If they didn't last today,
And I know there is a place
Drifting peacefully from grace,
Where a hint, a hope, a dream
Would stitch me up; help me believe,

Maybe you want to be with me
Beneath a hidden silent plea
For your words are simple, that
I just shouldn't get attached.
We all could walk away
Leaving pain in yesterday,
And I know I could be hurt
Lying face down in the dirt,
But it wouldn't be your fault
You cant be blamed for it at all
I should confess soon on the stand
That I saw it beforehand.

Misleading one, you're helpless,
Once again you couldn't fight.
Do people always fail you,
Or are you the failing knight.
