Some Day (It will be forever more)

by D Jon Versatino   Jan 2, 2009

Outside my little wooded window I sits all alone,
Worried about our future
I have sang and prayed,
Old songs, new songs,
And, I still have to sing and pray
For you and I, for the Blacks and Whites
For the old and young
For the rich and poor.
The stars are quite
Watching me like they have got answers,
To the cry I am feeling from afar,
While they diamond-lit the sleeping sky.
Too many of them
More than my eyes could hate.
Why is tonight so calm with love and hatred?
Why are the waves lying dead in the belly of the sea?
Why are the insects not fetching foods tonight?
Why is that young mother sleeping peacefully?
While her young babe cry sadly?
Is any one hearing me?
There are guts in the wind blowing around me
They are Grace and Mercy,
Whispering in my ears,
Telling me never to stop singing and praying.
That some day,
There will be no more worries and sadness,
No more suffering and pains,
No more hatred and dead,
No more hunger and dejection.
Because we are beautifully made,
Better days is assured,
And It will be forever more.
